Deaton Scholar's Program

  • Joined the Deaton Scholars Program in researching food insecurity and poverty in the Columbia area as well as worldwide and partnered with various organizations to combat these problems.

Deaton Scholars Student Advisory Board

  • Currently serving on the student advisory board and working in the communications team.

  • Working on creating social media strategy and content, as well as content for the website.

It's On Us! Communications Committee

  • Used and created graphics to generate social media engagement to highlight ongoing work of the organization and events.

It's On Us! Outreach Committee

  • Organize funding, scheduling, and promotion for events the organization puts on.

Public Health Club

  • Learn and discuss the public health issues of Mizzou.

  • Participate in book club to greater my knowledge of public health.

  • Participate in community events that aim to better Mizzou and the Columbia area.

RELEVANT COURSEWORK

Capstone Course - AdZou

  • Designed and created graphics for the client, Zoetis, 100+ page plan book.

  • Communicated directly with client and met their needs for a new product line.

  • Followed the brand standards to ensure client could use it in the future. 

  • Worked in a team, researching secondary information of company, category, consumer, and competition.

  • Conducted surveys and in-depth interviews with prospective customers - horse owners, vets, and sales reps.

Honors Public Relations - J4256H

  • Created press releases, situation analyses and summaries, media pitches, etc.

Strategic Design and Visuals II - J4228

  • Created a strong advertising campaign for a selected brand using different mediums such as guerrilla marketing, rich media, print, logo redesign.

Digital Strategy - J4262

  • Tested different SEO strategies in simulations to find what was best for a company and created the most CTR and profits.

Strategic Research - J4952

  • Created business memos and conducted research for different brands to find what would be the best target audience and marketing strategy.
