SWATCH TO UNVEIL SMARTWATCH AT CES
Swatch’s new smartwatch will be debuted at the biggest consumer electronics show this fall.
Biel/Bienne, Switzerland (April 25, 2020) – After years of development, Swatch is finally ready to debut their new smartwatch.
As a response to the growing market of smartwatches, Swatch is going to debut their own at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show. Swatch loyalists have been waiting years for the new smartwatch.
Swatch’s smartwatch is the perfect balance between style and technology, listening to their distinct customer base, who want something that fits their aesthetic but also has the smart features that would be worth the cost.
“Our customers and hopefully now new customers will see the care and detail we have put into this product,” Nick Hayek, CEO of Swatch said, “We wanted to make a smartwatch that offered better technology and adaptability, without sacrificing the individuality of our designs that our customers love.”
Swatch is establishing its brand as one for personal reflection, which is caters to their younger audience, specifically millennials. According to Pixlee, millennials are drawn to a brand that has personality and reflects their same personal ideals. This smartwatch will not only make it easy to stay on top of notifications but will provide them with a way to express their personality.
It is Bluetooth capable so you will be able to get texts and phone calls to the watch. The unique feature of the Swatch smartwatch is it is enabled with “SwatchPay,” a way to pay without connecting your bank or routing number to keep users secure. According to Real Clear Policy, 74% of millennials are concerned with how tech / social media companies are using their online data and location information. Catering again to their younger audience, as millennials want to know that their information is secure.
“To make this watch more affordable, we kept our same design of a plastic casing,” said Hayek, “The plastic is actually more durable and resistant to wear than the metal casings the other companies are using.”
The new smartwatch is affordable and offers unique customizations, distinguishing Swatch from the others on the market.
Swatch is excited to debut their new smartwatch and a large variety of customizations at the Consumer Electronics Show in June.
